It’s Lunch Time

I picked up some extra classes during the kid’s summer break.  I work in a private language institute, and often they will add additional summer intensive classes while the kids are on break from public school.  Lucky them right?  So I’m working a lot right now, until the end of August.  The paycheck in the end will be nice.  And the other bonus is that we feed the kids between the summer intensive morning classes and the regular classes that start in the afternoon… and I get to eat with them.

It’s a lot of fun to sit in a desk and eat Korean food with little people.  Lunch includes a soup that they all dump their rice in.  It usually has tofu, seaweed and other things in it.  There are also always a few vegetable side dishes.  Typically some kind of kimchi, various greens, sometimes a salad.  And there are usually a few different meat dishes.  There has been a spicy pork with potatoes, a beef with peppers, fried octopus or fried shrimp.  One day we had these really little dried fish that were super salty and delicious.  And sticking with the trend, I pretty much like everything that I eat.
