Random Korean Emcees in Hongdae Park

As a documentarian of the expat hip hop scene here in Seoul it’s easy to forget that people native to Korea enjoy the art form as well. The expat scene and the Korean scene don’t cross paths that often.

I was reminded of this recently on a freezing cold Saturday in Hongdae as the sun went down. After a delicious meal at Goulash Soup & Bread, we walked over to the park to find this circle of Korean emcees. Not a fan of the BEP beats they chose, but it’s nice to see a gathering of Koreans enthusiastic about hip hop, spreading the love in a public setting.

Also, this was the first video I captured using the new iPod Touch.
